Halloween in Brown Park

Since 1997, the Chamber St. Matthews and the City of St. Matthews have proudly hosted Halloween in Brown Park, a cherished annual event that unites thousands of local families, businesses, and organizations for a day of festive, family-friendly fun. 

This free event is open to all ages—whether you’re a child or simply young at heart! Over the years, it has grown into a highly anticipated celebration, now drawing over 5,000 attendees for an unforgettable experience. 

Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including music, games, inflatables, hayrides, and much more! Optional food and drinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting a local nonprofit organization. 

Event Details 

📅 October 18th 2025

⏰ 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM 

📍 Brown Park (corner of Kresge Way & Browns Lane, next to Baptist Health Louisville) 

Trick-or-Treating begins at 11:30 AM! Families will start at the duck bridge and make their way along the scenic walking path, collecting goodies from over 50-75 participating businesses and organizations. 

Parking & Accessibility 

🚗 Free parking is available across from Baptist Health Louisville at 4007 & 4003 Kresge Way. A signaled crosswalk provides easy access to the park.

Halloween in Brown Park is more than just trick-or-treating—it’s a safe, fun-filled, and action-packed day the whole family will enjoy. Mark your calendar and get ready for four hours of nonstop Halloween excitement—all for FREE!  

Subject to lines, the line may be closed at the discretion of Chamber staff to ensure that our vendors can vacate their spaces by 3 p.m. This event will promptly end at 3 p.m. To avoid long lines and wait times, we encourage you not to wait until the last minute to arrive at the park.
